ELIZABETH, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Two pit bulls were shot and killed by New Jersey police after they attacked three people on Tuesday morning, a prosecutor's spokesperson said. The Union County Prosecutor's Office responded to a dog fighting incident on Amity Street in Elizabeth, which resulted in the owners being attacked by the dogs. According to Lauren Farinas, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office, Elizabeth police officers on the scene fired their weapons to stop the attack, which led to the dogs' deaths.
